Depression

I don't like Taylor's now. Everytime i go for the scholarship interview, i would end up not getting it. I think im jinxed or something... Im so depressed now. =(

My family financial background is not too bad but it still kinda suck to know i couldnt get the scholarship. and to know that i put in effort during foundation to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. I thought i could at least upgrade my current scholarship to 50%, cuz that could really save alot. Currently im having SPM high achiever scholarship (50% for foundation, 30% degree).

Oh well, i could only tell myself that they are others who need the scholarship more than i do and i should be grateful that im at least having A scholarship now.

Diary of my cooking recipies

22/7/10 Thursday Rain

Dear diary,

Sometimes, i like to daydream about recipes but im just too lazy to cook... haha

Hence for the last few days i've been cooking for my own lunch.. these are my delicious creations:

1) french loaf + scrambled eggs + tomatoes ( I cooked this on monday 19/7/10)
first, i buttered the top of the french loaf and re-heat the bread in the microwave for 30 seconds. The butter melted instantly and the smell was so inviting.. yum yum.. Then i cracked 2 eggs and scrambled em (using a pan and spatula, obviously). Then i added in some tomatoes. When i'm done, i carefully laid em across my french loaf and voila!! my lunch is ready to be devoured.

2) CNY leftover glutinous cakes aka 年糕 (today's lunch)
Yes, u read this correctly, CNY LEFTOVERS. haha.. but the cakes were stored nicely in the freezer so yeah... My mom bought some purple sweet potatoes so i was inspired to fry the nian gaoS... First, i cracked an egg, pour some flour and mix em with some water. Making sure the mixture is not too watery nor too sticky, if not it would be hard to fry. Then i cut the sweet potatoes into slices and sandwich one thin slice of nian gao with sweet potatoes. (It looks like a weird sandwich hahaha). After that i dip the sweet-potato-nian-gao-sweet-potato sandwich into the mixture and put it gently onto the pan and watch it fried. I flipped it multiple times to ensure the sweet potatoes are soft. When it turns golden brown, i put it on a plate and ready to be served. mhmm hmm... Its best to eat when its crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. The glutinuous rice cake just melted in my mouth.. uh-huh... (gosh.. this is really fattening for lunch.. but i only ate a few pieces ok? and drink lots of water... )

I really believe that i'm the perfect combination of my mom and dad:

1) i have doble eyelid for my left eye while i have single for my right
my mom has double eyelids for both of her eyes; my dad has single eyelids.

2) i have 1 dimple
my mom has while my dad doesnt have.

3) im taller than my mom but shorter than my dad. =)

4) i like to do things last minute like my dad

5) im hot tempered like my mom.

6) my zodiac is goat, like my dad.

7) I like to shop like there's no tomorrow, like my mom.

8) my mom is really artistic while my dad is more scientific ( i guess accountant is considered scientific? he can draw maps though...) im ok with drawings... so i guess im in the middle?

9) my mom and dad are pretty organized... i'm completely opposite. my room is constantly messy so i gues i didnt inherit their genes huh...

10) my mom is kinda outgoing, used to go disco (during the 80s laaaa) while my dad is quiet and cool... so i guess im in between...

i wonder what would my kids be like next time hahahah....

i know.. i have awesome parents, great friends and a superb bf but still...

sometimes i feel lonely.. maybe its because im the only child and i'm always trying hard to be accepted among peers... or maybe i'm too dependent on everyone... so when i'm alone i feel detached...

i dunno... maybe its time for self-reflection.. mayb i've been ignoring some of my best friends.. its time to mend the broken ties. yes, i thnk i should make the 1st move to talk to them. (them as in my best frens, nt the 2 ******)

welcoming a new start

wokay... a quick update:

just finished my finals last week and the 1st day was my bday -_- way to go, hooray! *i hope mr phillip could spare me and gimme enough marks to get A*

so yeah... sem 3 finished last thursday and some of us went to ikea after dat for meatballs. Sadly, not the whole class is continuing degree at taylors :( and we only have 1 week to enjoy before starting degree...

i spent my last weekend shopping with my mommy at mid valley and hanging out with my bee most of the time ;)

right now im actually at lakeside on9-ing waiting for my bee to finish class. he is starting his degree at monash woo-hoo. after dat we shall go AC for lunch while he settle his business with potential costumers. He told me he is saving money to build me a mac-gawd computer for my degree... awhh.. isnt he sweet?

Pre-birthday celebration

Today is my pre bday celebration at 1u's Chilli's. Supposingly its a two-person romantic date manatau my bee TRICKED me, AGAIN!

He came late to fetch me, wasted >15min searching for parking, quequed for awhile to get table and out of the sudden, all my friends appeared! SURPRISE haha...

after makan, we went to bowling centre for pool and played da football thingy...

overall it was a fun night with my bee and my best pals :D

Finally!!!

Wow, its been a long time since i last blogged.. The last one was like in April when i first started sem 3, now im preparing for finals !!! *breathe*

Alot of things happened since then: dramas, conflicts, unexpected events and so on. Sem 3 is like a roller coaster ride. One moment you are plunging down from few hundred meters high and going through 360 degrees loops, the next thing you know, you are reaching the end.

Life hasn't been easy in sem 3. There are alot of dramas in my class, within my group (for group assignments) as well. If i were to blog it out, it would be endless and some people will terasa and probably complain to blogspot that my blog is a "hate site". haha. To sum it all, I'm grateful that me and my good friends: eliza, rox and sean had been almost in the same group since sem 1 and we never fight against each other. Even though we might complain: "Sean is too square (oops sean, we still love you, abit); "eliza, stop drinking coffee!", "rox, you are skinny enough, stop losing weight!" but at the end of the day, we still able to submit our assignments nice and efficient at the end of the day.

Me and eliza also realized that we are the coolest + awesome-est people in class. Reasons:
1. we are not as stressed out as the others even though we had "extra" assignments.
2. we are happy and proud with ourselves to give solutions when something bad happened. We feel efficient :D
3. We didnt ponteng class just to finish assignmnet
4. we didnt really complain about how FML our lives is. In fact, we enjoy every single moment! We learn to submit our work on time, and still got time to chil-lax at the same time and appreciate life :D hooray to us

Overall we have around 13+ assignmnets to submit throughtout sem 3. For the past few weeks, we had to hand in several assignmnets/ presentations on the same day, do filming, editing and so on. Luckily we filmed our video last month so we got around 2 weeks for editing. Talking about efficiency eh?? In the end, our video is one of the two videos that our lecturer like the most. I won't say our video is the best but we put a lot of effort in it (at least some of us did) and the end product is satisfying. It won't be a success without my bee's help. =) he helped us to touch up, fix the audio and render the video on his ultimate G.A.W.D computer .. that's why i love you, bee.. muacks muacks..

Well, in sem 3 i also encountered some back-stabbing. Haiz... i dunno la.. maybe it's human nature (kot) to back stab, or is it just us girls? Anyway, its not a pleasant feeling when you know someone is talking behind your back even though you keep telling yourself to ignore it. Thank god i didnt fall into the footsteps of others like calling each other b**ch on facebook and bla bla bla. Of course, im upset by it but thanks to my bee and faith in my religion, im able to overcome it laaaaaa... Maybe i really did something wrong ke... *shrugs*

Well, the good things are, as i mentioned before, true friendship and relationship would not succumb to the pressure of gossips and conflicts. Once again, thanks to my friends and my bee.


Moving on, i also decided to join St. John Ambulance Adults (Pudu Combined Adults division) and also took part in the recent National Competition. It feels awesome to be able to wear the smart uniform again and go to Kelly Clarkson concert duty hehe... for free !!! ok, back to topic, the national comp was on the 5th and 6th of June. Prior to that, we had training every sun, sometimes sat at cheras hq. It was a fun experience because i get to learn so many new things. In the end, we won first in the home nursing category. It was unbelievable and enexpected! i remember sitting at the hall waiting for the results. When the fella announced " home nursing champ: Wilayah Persekutuan!" me and my team mates were stunned! seriously, stunned for a few seconds until my leader started standing up and we followed her to accept the trophies. :)

It was a relief actually even though we didnt really think of winning anything but it feels good to win something.. haha (im being lame). Next year, ima joining again with my best pals zi theng and chin yee. hopefully, we could achieve something. *cross fingers*



So, this is pretty much what happened between april and july. Thank god my mid term results didnt suck. Now time to put effort in finals, hoping to get gpa 4.0 and get the tertiary merit scholarship. wish me luck , folks :D

the start of a new semester

Yesterday was my first day of semester 3. Hooray. I was waiting for sem 3 to start because for the past 2 months (my sem break), i had been doing nothing but day dream. I did not achieve my goals: lose weight and learn Adobe Photoshop. Hence, im waiting to get my hands on something so that i won't feel like waiting my time... -_-

The moment i stepped into college, a huge crowd of my classmates were gathering outside of 7 11 and were giving hugs to close friends and other friends who MIA-ed for the past 2 months. There were alot of familiar faces, some with new hairstyle, some with new fashion sense, some are still the same. :)

So, new sem, new goals. For this sem, i would try my hardest to get 4.0 for my gpa in order to apply for scholarship when i proceed to degree. Again, i vow to lose weight. (I'll try by encouraging myself to jog t desa park city everyday after classes: 1) i might catch a glimpse of some hot and handsome guys jogging 2) watching cute puppies wild is the great pleasure.. hahah) 3) Start learning Adobe Photoshop! 4) save money 5) be active in co-curriculum activities. Hence, i have to make sure i join St john Adult division with full >100% determination!!!!!!!!!

Well, its finally feel good to go back to college ^^ Wish me luck people :D

Opposite Attraction

Me and my bee define the opposite attraction formula. He is tall and i'm short; he's kinda dark and i'm considered fair; he's lean and im plump; he's smart and into computer/technology stuff while im into fashion magazines and shopping; he doesnt spend much unless its for his computer stuff while i spend alot for clothing and shoes. We should be voted as the most-unlikely-to-get-together couple. XD

Today i was dressed in a purple top, a dark grey skirt, grey leggings (my new obssession) and in my black booties while my bee was dressed in a simple t-shirt and jeans. (can you imagine the difference?) Today is my turn to be driver as Im driving my bee to his college and later to A1 tailor to order my new st.john adult uniform.

After we departed at the main entrance of his college, i made my way to starbucks coffee (again but this time i ordered muffins... high 5) and settled down. I was surfing the net on my phone and reading my novel while taking tiny bits at my muffin. I thought i would have to wait for him until 12pm but mana tau he came into starbucks (when i was off into The Lovely Bones scenes in my head) and tapped on my shoulder at 10.30am. I was taken aback by 1) his enthusiasm for me to go to the tailor and get my uniform done, 2) his lightness of saying his chemistry test was easy and he completed it within 30 minutes. After all, he's a geek!

After that, we went to the tailor and thank god i would be able to collect it next week. And so, 80 bucks were gone from my purse :( Any how, it did not ruin my mood to proceed to Pavillion to watch The Lovely Bones and shop at Cotton On.

Unfortunately, the long walk from Lou Yat Plaza to Pavillion (especially in my high heels and the hot wheather was killing me) did ruined half of my good mood. When we finally reached Pavillion, we saw a group of photographers snapping and clicking their DSLR cameras like mad cows. When we drew nearer to the entrance, we realized that there was an opening ceremony going on and Sheila Majid was there. (In case you dunno who is Sheila Majid, apparently she is the jazz queen in M'sia. I hope she was not dissappointed by the lack of screaming fans asking for her autograph.. haha)

When we reached GSC cinema, it was 12.20pm, just on time to grab the 12.25pm tickets for The Lovely Bones. To our utmost surprise, there were only 4 people at the back of the cinema. Amazing... It was like having the whole cinema to ourselves.. haha..

Well, throughout the movie, we were hugging each other and holding hands. I would grab his hands when the suspense began to build and he would hug me back. He even teased me when i cried at the end of the movie. T.T I would warm his hands at times when he was cold and sneaked some chances to give him pecks on his cheeks. ^^ Overall, i enjoyed the movie.

After the movie, it was shopping time! I was dying to get my hands on some skirts from Cotton On and I was waiting to buy them at half price. My bee disapproved my shopping session at Cotton On because to him, buying new clothes is not necessary. Oh c'mon bee, im a girl!!! Who doensnt like to shop??? In the end, i spent RM108 on 2 high-waist skirt, a cardigan and a blouse. Hello??!!! buying 4 items at the price of RM108 is considered lucky!!! You couldnt find such thing happening to you at Forever 21 or Topshop!!! ( i cant even buy the blazer which i had set my eyes on at F21 which costs Rm159!!!) I even chose the cheapest items.....

After that, we walked hand in hand back to Lau Yat Plaza's parking lot and made our way home...

Over The Weekend

What can i say? I had a wonderful and enjoyable time last weekend with my family and friends.


RECAP 1: 12/03/10 FRIDAY

I went to Sunway Pyramid for a skating outing with my friends. It was a random trip because i met choo hhee the day before and he said, "lets go skating!" and that was what happened. Something bizzarre and funny happened when me and my friends, Carmen, Wai Kuan and Joyce went to Wendy's for lunch. It was the launching of their new burger: Mushroom Melt. [Well, before that we wanted to go MCDonald's for lunch but it was 11.45am and their mclunch sets are only available from 12pm to 4pm (i think), plus the un-friendly and un-enthusiastic waitress made us opt for Wendy's.] Ok, back to topic. We were hesitating at the entrance and this Indian dude in t shirt, with a big smile on his face asked us to go in and try out their new product. Then we decided, why not? This dude seemed nice. Little did we know we are going to be their lab rats to try out their new burger! i mean literally... That dude, i think turned out to be some sort of a manager and was having a meeting with the other staffs (branch managers i guess). Since we were the 1st customers, they were staring at us intently when we settled in our seats and taking a huge bite of the burger. And boy oh boy, the cheese melted in our mouths.. mhhmmm hmmm... Soon, the staffs were asking for our opinions and they even took a few photos of us devouring the burgers XD (do check out their facebook page to look out for our photos XD) and they even gave out some coupons and car stickers... haha TAKE THAT MCD.. THEIR BEEF BURGERS ARE DEFINITELY BETTER THAN URS.. oh yeah, do bear in mind the new mushroom burgers are beef...

After we makan, we went down to the skating rink and started skating... The boys, as usual were late. Soon, Choo Hhee, Rain and my bee(surprisingly) joined us. and the funny thing was, if my bee's feet is any larger, he could not skate cuz he was wearing the biggest skating shoe size! and I held his hand throughout the rink but i dissappeared sometimes to skate on my own XD

At night, me, mom and dad went to subang to send my grandma to my aunt's hse. On the way back, we went to A&W for root beers and by the time we reached home, it was 12am! what a day :)

RECAP 2: 13/03/10 SATURDAY

The 1st day to work and i was already 20 minutes late :( cuz i was stuck in a jam.... Im supposed to be at Mid Valley's Convention Hall 3 to be Taylors' Student Helper in conjuction with the Education Fair... When the fair started at 11am people just streamed in and out of our massive booth. And since then, i worked non-stop! I was hopping from stand to stand, advicing people about the courses offered in Taylors College, on the other hand looking for counselors to counsel those enthusiastic post SPM graduates. It was kinda funny because we were forced to know a little bit about engineering, business, law, pre u and etc because we were lack of lecturers and counselors. One of the student helpers (i think he is a business student) was studying the hospitality brochure. I was curious, hence i asked him why. He said, " so that i could answer them in case someone ask me about hospitality. later i'm gonna study the law brochure." -_-

Overall it was kinda fun because i got to share some of my experiences with some students who were interested in mass communication. After the fair ended, we had fun sticking Digi stickers on each others back XD

RECAP 3: 14/03/10 SUNDAY
I was looking forward to this day because it has been a long long time since i spent some quality time with my cousin sisters and brothers. We had a wonderful time in Genting except for the long queque we had to wait for each ride. I hope the 7 of us will always keep in touch and keep rockin' XD

*不知道为什么, 我很想用华语写这篇 blog 。 我担心的是, 我的blog 会很 kek sui，大概是太久没写华作了。。。*

*唉* 自从昨天与chin bird 和 zeng 见面后, 我心中多了这一份参加圣约翰救伤队的决心。说真的, 我还蛮挂念以前在圣约翰救伤队的日子。只是，不知道为什么一直把这念头抛开一边，到现在都还没参加。So，我决定了, 我要趁这个假期参加st john，好好地充实自己。此外，我也能够和 chin and zeng lepak 多一点, 得空时gossip以下，肯定很好玩哦！我也可以再见到 officers，也能交新朋友，穿上我引以为荣的制服。可惜的是, 我必须牺牲一些时间, 可能不能够陪我的宝贝在星期六和星期日dating 咯 :(

听起来觉得有点肉嘛leh... 哈哈。。。当我没事做的时候，我就会情不自禁地想着他，想着他到底有没有也在想着我, 多爱着我。 哎，爱到底是什么? 可以令到我对一个人朝思梦想。他虽然不算是我幻想中的白马王子, 但是我就是喜欢他的 flaw。他的不完美令他更逼真，让我知道我不是在做梦。

他外表看起来很 geek，像个书呆子，但是他其实是很 sweet 的。昨天，他轻轻地亲我的额头。我问他为什么，他说, 看见因为我小时候顽皮弄伤自己，在额头上留下的疤痕感觉心痛。我的心顿时溶掉。=) 今天，我要他读我的blog。他读完后, 我问他感不感动，他告诉我他不想留comment因为他害羞, 然后他小小声地告诉我他也很爱我。

他也很喜欢欺负我，他最喜欢 tickle 我，尤其是我的 ribs 那里，令我笑到上气不接下气，想要还手也不能, 因为我笑到没力了。他说, 他最喜欢看到我笑, 因为他不要见到我不开心。我很喜欢当我伤心的时候去找他, 因为他会紧紧地抱着我, 安慰我, 直到我好比起来。不知道为什么，他昨天和今天都无端端赞我可爱，令我一时不知所措。我嘟起嘴巴问他为什么，他却说我嘟起嘴巴的样子不好看。唉, 真是的。。。

他为了我也付出很大。我记得有一次，我们约好放学后在 central market 汇合，因为我和我同学要到那儿买东西。怎知道我们开会迟了，我们要出发的时候他已经到了 central market。我告诉他, 我和我的同学会搭 ktm 去central market，要他等一下。可是，他说不用了, 他会马上过去我的college载我们，然后再到central market去。我的同学听后, 很羡慕我有一个那么好的男朋友。我顿时觉得我是世界上最幸福的女孩。

我觉得跟一个人在一起, 最重要的是做回自己。你不觉得带上面具，为了配合他而改变自己是很辛苦的吗？可能是因为我的宝贝曾经是我的好朋友，所以即使我笑多大声, 讲多废的冷笑话，他都不在意。我也不怕在他面前露出我没化妆的样子，当然，和他出去是肯定会细心打扮。=) 和他在一起, 我不觉得压力。

哎，听着 Boys Like Girls ft Taylor Swift 的 Two Is Better Than One，我觉得我真的很幸福。虽然我不是他的初恋, 但是我希望我是他一身中最后和最爱的女生。

virgin in love

* im sipping coffee while blogging this out on my baby in starbucks. ' Besides, im listening to my favourite songs to block out the horrendous blue-zy 70's rock songs. urghhh *

I am indeed a virgin in love *duhhhh* , literally, metaphorically.. but what im trying to say is im new in this bubbly pink world of love. You might be surprised, or not, a girl like me, who likes to daydream about prince charming who would one day come pick me up and ride away on his white horse to a magnificent castle, had been single for the past 18 years since the day i was born. *pathetic right, i know* Fortunately, i managed to find myself drowning myself in the sea of love with a not so charming dark prince.. yes, you got me right. My dark prince is not the typically prince charming in armours holding a long gleaming sword, ridding a white handsome horse. Well, my dark prince is more like a wizard, always holding a thick book of spell, mixing stuff to get the right potion. He is indeed a tech whiz.. -_-
Well, believe it or not, me and my bee are celebrating 6-month anniversary this sunday!!! It seems like it was just yesterday when he asked me to go out on a date officially. *spoiler: he asked me out becuase my bff dared him to and he wanna prove to my bff that i will not say yes to him.. little did we know..*

So, im currently preparing out 6-month anniversary present.. haha *shh i dun wanna blog it out in case my bee read my blog and he will know what am i doing* Hence, I think we are going to celebrate somewhere else. *I hope my bee will buy the blazer from forever 21 which i craved so much.. GOSH*

Today i went out with my bee early in the morning to accompany go see doctor and to collect our SPM cert from our ex-secondary school. i waited for him in starbucks coffeee while he attended his classes until 11.30am. After that, we went to the Subang Jaya Medical Centre. We waited for almost half an hour and it was bee's turn. I accompanied he into the doctor's examination room and he introduced me as his gf to his doctor... so funny *blush blush*

Fortunately, my bee is doing quite ok now. I hope and pray that my bee will always be in good health. After his check-up, i was so freaking hungry... We walked back to AC and had a quick lunch. *awhhhh, i forgot to look at the tortoise!!!!! haha* After lunch, we made our way to our secondary school SMK Kepong Baru.

I felt so weird as bee's car drew nearer to my ex school where i spent most of my teenage life. *haha* It feels so familiar and yet strange at the same time. So many new faces in this old building and i felt so old!!! The first place we went was the First Aid Roomt to check whether Zeng and Chin were there. We chatted with the juniors for awhile and since we couldnt spot chin nor zeng, me and bee went to collect our SPM certs.

When we got back to FAR, chin and zeng walked in. Zeng gave a delghtful scream and we hugged each other.. She had been MIA during cny because she went to thailand.. Both chin and zeng led us to the library and we had a little chat there. The library is so huge!!! haha I jokingly said that me and bee could hide in the Rujukan books section because there are rows and rows of bookshelves in there and no one would know.. *hehehe*

While we were chatting, i told zeng and chin that i had intentions of joining St. Johns Adults and both of them encouraged me.. It will be cool to join adults because it used to be my passion during secondary school. Imagine the duties i could go.. *sigh* I would make a mental note to myself to call one of the officers.....................................

In the evening, i walked and jogged at desa park city.. Woo-hoo... I saw Alison and Khai walked their cute little dog together. *so sweeet!* My bee joined me on the last round and i drove him home. I felt satisfied today because i sweat like a mad cow and i felt some of the unwanted calories burnt.. nyehhhheheheheh

Coming to an end

Whoa, can you believe it? Today is the last day of cny!!! Phew, time flew in just a blink of the eye.. and i was just blogging about how hot it was in ipoh during cny last week...

Hence, February has come to an end. Can you believe it? It felt like it was 1st January 2010 yesterday and tomorrow is 1st of March, already??!! Gosh...

While ranting about how time flies, i would like to share that its my mom's birthday today!!! woohoo.. happy bday mee... Me, mom and dad are going to KLCC's Chili for celebration. I called the restaurant for reservations 15 minutes ago. Unfortunately, Chili's prefer "First Come First Serve"... Urghh. I think we have to wait for awhile because Chili's is always crowded with people...

blogging my cny

dear all,
i cant believe my luck! There's internet connection in my relative's house in batu gajah.. For those who dunno where is batu gajah, its actually a small little town in da west of ipoh.. So, might as well grab this chance to blog..

its so hot in ipoh.. I sweat like a mad cow and bathe like multiple times here.. Urghh.. The bright side is, i get to wear most of my cny new clothes.. Woo hoo.. And angpao kept coming, though not lot but im satisfied XD

Its been a long time since my last post.. i should update my blog XD

1) I just finished my finals WooHoo~~~ and now, im having 6 weeks break.. I hope I would be able to go intern at my aunt's company since she's in the industry im gonna involve in the future... *cross fingers she will hire me haha*

2) CNY is around the corner.. i mean, its really around the corner cuz new year eve is on this saturday!!! I'm so excuted about it cuz i finally can wear all my new clothes!!! ^^ can't wait :D I'm gonna spend most of my cny hols in ipoh... its been a long time since i last saw my cousins...

3) Rox's bday party on tuesday was awesome :D it was a fun time to hang out with close friends and joke about everything.. hehe... though we didnt have much time to chat wif rox but me, eliza and rox had a blast camwhoring in rox's bathroom.. hehe... (and eliza was fidgeting and whinning about her new haircut after she cut her bangs... for god sake, u look pretty :D)

4) today is thursday, the first day premier of Valentine's Day... me and my bee are going to watch the movie at pavillion, after we drop off my lappie for servicing... (Poor lappie *sob sob*) We plan to pre-celebrate our Valentine's Day because this year's valentines falls on the 1st day of CNY... I'll be in Ipoh and he'll be in Kelantan... And i dun wanna miss this year's valentine's cuz this is the 1st time im celebrating with my bee... most importantly, my 1st valentine's with someone special... XD

5) im kinda bored now.. can't believe its hols and im in coll on9-ing... haha...

busy week

hi ya all...

I'm currently in the media hub, using a mac to blog and fb... we just finished MMH discussion and just showed our lecturer the video we did... We put in alot of efforts and hope everything pays off... 

For this MMH assignment, we have to shoot a plus minus 4-min video based on this 3 topics :mainstream media, independent media and media freedom. The assignment was given last monday and we have to present the video this friday. We can form any groups between group 1 and group 2 as long as there are more than 3 people in a group. hence, my group consists of 8 people and we decided to do media freedom!

And voila, shooting starts and i'm doing the editing... i asked my geek to transfer vegas pro to my laptop so i can do the editing myself (i dunno wanna trouble him la...) it is fun to edit vid using vegas pro cuz i feel like a pro.. haha.. but we put in alot of efforts la... and the competition among groups are quite strong.. but as long as the competition is positive, then it shud be motivating!!!!

In the library

Its been like ages since i last came to library, it was before my semester break :D

And now, im back in the library!!! haha... Lame right, and this may sound really random because im a bit bored right now... I'm waiting for geek to come fetch me and go edit the video (our eng project).. im crossing fingers that things will be fine because i dun wanna reshoot the whole thing, i have another MMH assignment going on and blah.. but i dun wanna things to be messed up because after all, everyone's marks is at stake and u noe.. urgh...

And the college's computers are so darn slow... i logged off and logged on for multiple times.. and i can't even sign in ebuddy cuz it makes the whole computer stop working... :( how sad...

So, finally, i gotten the opportunity to blog about random stuff that is happening right now:
1) me, nicole and eliza are in the library... (christine just went out for her group's photo shoot while eliza just came in after going out to fetch sean home)
2) we are typing furiously on our keyboards.
3) there are some snubbish foundation juniors in the same computer lab with us.
4) Im still staring at my phone, hoping my geek's class is cancelled so that he can come fetch me home XD
5) Im thirsty
6) Im wearing a yellow dress today :D
7) My file and my handbag are on top of the CPU
8) Eliza and Nicole are playing with the BB cream foundation powder... Eliza is arguing that Nicole is a very particular or fussy person because apparently Nicole uses up one particular section of the foundation powder. And Nicole said she is not that kind of person... Eliza goes on saying she can judge someone by looking at their make-ups.. haha
9) Eliza is looking up da dictionary for the word "adjourn" using my phone.
10) nicole just went out for the photo shoot.
11) i suddenly recalled what happened in IIT class today. It was raining when i reached coll and some of our friends were late. When Sean came into the class, Sung, another dude commented, "Sean, you are so hawwtttt..." and was overheard by our lecturer, Mr. Julian. Later on, he used this as an example to show us how does the internet connection work. He said to us, " all right, Sung updates his fb profile saying Sean is so hot, and Christine commented ewww. So what happen is blah blah bla...." I forgotten the explanation not because i didnt pay attention but i dunno wat are the scientific terms.. haha.. This is so random but funny as well XD
12) im looking at the clock and it reads : 1.25pm
13) Im sleepy
14) My mom would be so happy if i go home and tell her eliza praised her for decorating our house beautifully :D
15) we are gossiping with nicole :D

Is dream a reality?

I had 2 weird dreams today and the 1st dream felt so real that i cried the moment i was jolted awake from my dream.

I hope dreams are just dreams... the 2nd dream indicated something and...

urgh.. crap.. i dunno how to type out what i'm feeling now

Today, i finally got the chance to watch Avatar at Pavillion's GSC (gosh the parking rate was damn @^%&!@*!^ expensive!) with my geek..

Before we made our way to Pavillion, we spent a few hours at law yat, checking out the prices for Iphone 3G S, Nokia N97 and Blackberry Storm 2. We spent time checking out the n97 at the nokia store and played with the iphone from the mac retailer... now, im hesitating again which phone to buy.. n97 seems really nice, the camera is superb n can support higher resolution than iphone. On the other hand, iphone's application is awesome as usual and the touch screen is more responsive. However, iphone's camera is only 3 mega pixel where else n97's camera is 5mp n carlzeis lense.. undenially, n97's camera is really good... so im lost now.. haha.. again

Avatar was good and awesome.. out of 5 i wud rate the movie 4... the graphics are really nice but the story is abit too long.. I like the way the director conveys message through the movie: human are selfish... we would do anything to get everything we want and we don't appreciate the indigenious people... The movie makes us ponder on our thoughts seriously.. *the government should watch the movie XD

Overall, i had a great time today with my geek XD

MID TERM IS OVER!

IF
i'm a hardworking student and a typical geek, mid term would be "cheap skate" to me...

HOWEVER
I'm only a quarter-ly geek and 100%-ish lazy...

NOT TO MENTION THAT
I love last minute studies and prefer to burn midnight oil during exam period...

HENCE
I'm quite worried of my performance in my mid term test and is praying hard that i could score well...

DESPITE THE FACT THAT
I'm worrying about my mid term, i longed for shopping at nichii!!! (eliza received sms fr nichii and kischen stating that they are having warehouse sale! the one at tmn sharmelin)

BUT
I'm on a tight budget because im desperately saving money to buy an iphone XD

AS A CONCLUSION
I'm worried, a shopaholic, and a desperado...

Mid Term

Its the mid term week!!!!

For sem 2 i only have 3 subjects to take care of : English for College Studies 2, Introduction to Information Technology and Malaysian Media History...

ECS 2 test was on Tuesday and boy! We sucked in it! It was quite tough and we only had 1 hour to do the reading test and to write an essay... I think i would flunk miserably :(

Today, we had IIT... For the first time in my life im actually speaking geek language (anything regarding to computer: GUI, OS, URL bla bla bla) with my geek! haha... I concentrated more on the tips our lecturer, Mr Julian gave and only one of the tips he gave was in the short answer part! The others were in the MCQ part.. Geez... Can you believe it?

1) the difference between a modem and a NIC.
- we were so shocked when we read the question paper and we asked Mr Julian wth is a NIC and he, being so kind, told us that NIC is the acronym for Network Interface Card.. screw it, i wrote crap for this question XD

2) describe the 5 parts of an information system
-I memorized the whole thing so it was ok for me.. hope i can get full mark for this.

3) Describe the 3 categories of Operating System and name 2 examples for each category.
- Darn it! i know this but i didn't memorize the examples! Alot of my classmates were confused but i had the slight idea for this : embedded OS, standalone OS, Network OS. In the middle of the test, our kind Mr. Julian gave us some tips: what is the difference between the OS in your Iphone and your windows? and some of us started saying handheld, open source bla bla... I was confused again cuz i forgotten that open source OS is one of the categories... I wrote something extra at the bottom of my answer and i screwed it! i hope Mr Julian doesnt deduct any mark.. Just read my original answer XD

MMH is on friday and its about history!!!! urghh.. our lecturer said she will mess up the dates in the true/false section.. guess i think i'll spend the whole night today and tomorrow chewing the notes... wish me luck folks :)

p.s. i'm saving money to buy a new phone. I hvt tell my dad about my plan cuz if i ask him to buy a new phone on my bday he will say, " buy one when you work next time" :( so much of being the only child huh.. But i got a car and a laptop on my 17th bday so my coming 18th bday should be grand-er right? haha...
Yesterday while i was trying to sleep, i brainstormed on how to save money to buy my new phone:
PLAN A: work my arse off during the 6 weeks break before i proceed to sem 3.
PLAN B: CNY is around the corner and ... Duh, get more angpao during CNY! this means i need to do alot of visitings!!! muahaha.. im so clever right.. haha

*im still hesitating whether i should buy a nokia n97 or an iphone XD*

2010

HELLOOO!!!! My first blog in 2010...

hmm.. what shud i blog about...? lets see.. what about from the day i countdown at desa park city to celebrate a new decade...?

I went to Desa Park City with my geek and a few of my friends for the countdown... In half a day, Desa Park City was overcrowded with "swarms" of people.. So next year if you wanna go countdown at DPC, make sure you go there at 6pm to find parking ;)

In a nutshell, that was a sweet and exciting countdown... The fireworks were superb (we could see 3 sets of fireworks including Sg wang and genting highlands); i countdown with my geek for da 1st time XD; and spend time with my friends..

2010 is basically quite boring for me... On the 6th of January 2010, i went out yamcha with my bff, carmen... This might be the last time i yamcha with her before she go kampar for studying at UTAR.. *sob sob*

Carmen aka bear has been my best friend since like forever. We attended the same kindergarten, went to the same primary school and secondary school.. We were in the same class from standard 1 till form 3 and we joined almost the same societies/clubs/uniformed bodies in high school. We were in St. John Ambulance and she was the best secretary XD... The difference was she was a prefect and i was a librarian. (we hated prefects in high school but bear was an exception hehe) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHE STAYS OPPOSITE OF MY HOUSE! How cool is that?

Unfortunately ever since we started colleges, we don't hang out together like we used to but we usually go yamcha on every friday, from coffee bean to startbucks coffee XD. We share secrets, joke around each other, shopping and gossip like what girl friends do on a friday night. She is also part of the reason how me and geek could be together. (she dared him to ask me out haha)

Well, bear, i wish all da best to you!!!!!!! i shall go see you at kampar when i go back ipoh.. hehe.. my cousin sister Annie also studying at KTAR at kampar. So... i can always go visit bear :D
